Workshop Manager

Opportunity to work with a profitable and rapidly expanding company who have experienced recent business wins. The organisation has an annual turn over in excess of £20m and has multiple sites across the country. You will have the opportunity to advance your career and learn new skills.

The workshop manager will lead a team of technicians across two sites and be responsible for the planning of preventative maintenance for mobile plant, carrying out risk assessments and liaising with internal and external contractors.

As the workshop manager, your duties will include:

* Supervising and motivating a team of maintenance technicians.
* Planning of preventative maintenance for mobile plant to ensure plant equipment and vehicle availability.
* Ensuring maintenance activities on vehicles and mobile plant equipment have been sufficiently risk assessed whilst promoting health and safety adherence.
* Liaising with contractors.
* Inspecting the quality of the maintenance tasks ensuring they conform to the customer's standards.

What you will need to be successful in your application for the workshop manager:

* Proven experience of management within a heavy industry/transport sector.
* Familiar with the planning of preventative maintenance activities for mobile plant equipment (excavators etc.).
* Holding an engineering trade qualification in mechanical engineering would be beneficial.
* Experience of communicating with internal and external contractors would be an advantage.

In return, the workshop manager will receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience), fully paid company car, pension, holidays etc.

The working hours for this position is typically 45 hours (Mon-Fri) with flexibility given and required where necessary.
