An exciting role has arisen for a Commercial Manager/Sales Coordinator.
The purpose of the role is to ensure all existing and new customers receive high quality service from enquiry inception through to finished products. Take the commercial lead on raw material purchases and also act as liaison between customers and the company developing sales both with existing and new customers.
You must have a proven track record and ideally experience within the packaging industry.
Strong negotiation, relationship-building and leadership skills are essential along with strategic and tactical thinking skills and the ability to influence and coach.
·Manage all new enquiries for new customers.
·Manage and process potential new accounts
·To ensure that a high level of customer service both internal and external is maintained throughout the department.
·To monitor and maintain agreed stock levels for raw materials and finished goods.
·In partnership with the Quality assurance manager develop and maintain an approved supplier base for raw material & outwork, to include audits as appropriate.
·Negotiate prices on raw material and outwork
·To provide support and advice on production planning issues where needed.
·To provide timely and accurate information for business meetings.
·Develop effective communication with producton managerand production planner with regard to production/commercial priorities.
·Maintain smooth communication between customer and the company.
·To appraise and agree personal development plans for all commercial office staff and provide coaching, training and support where necessary.
·The development and maintenance of good communication channels with all department heads and the production and sales co-ordinator team.
·To develop, communicate and maintain all commercial office activities in accordance with approved accredited procedures.
·Oversee the creation and maintenance of all records in relation to job models and raw materials/finished goods codes, including pricing.
·To oversee the CAD / Repro office to ensure it give the best service to the commercial office and the factory.
·To comply at all times with Legislation and Company procedures with regard to Health & Safety in the workplace.
