This is an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager with a well-established and successful UK packaging company based in Neath.
As Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the direct management of the Purchasing Department. This will include optimising third party relationships; ensuring that suppliers deliver goods and services that comply with specification, are on time and stockholdings are minimised; preparation and submission of key commercial data to support business planning and budgeting processes; and the provision of sound commercial advice and expertise.
The successful candidate should preferably be MCIPS qualified.They must have a strong track record of purchasing / supply chain transformation experience with a minimum of four years’ experience preferable with a packaging background. Strong negotiation, relationship-building and leadership skills are essential along with strategic and tactical thinking skills and the ability to influence and coach.
